In April 2009, Dmitry Gutov visited Ukraine with his lectures at the invitation of Cultural Project – a famous Moscow-based theoretical artist and one of the most prominent representatives of the Russian art scene, who participated in the largest biennales of contemporary art in Venice, Istanbul, San Paulo, Valencia etc. The director and artist, known for his video works and installations, a well-known lecturer with the academic art criticism background, acquainted the students with the geography of the contemporary art scene, as well as with the main personalities of the Russian art space.
“Nights of Contemporary Art with Dmitry Gutov” were held at the Center for Contemporary Art (Kyiv, 2 Skovoroda Str.) and were choreographed as a discussion during which the students received detailed extensive answers to all their questions.
